WHAT TO EXPECT
Congratulations on taking charge of your mental health!
Taking the first step is often the hardest part.
Wondering what to expect?
Prior to your first initial appointment, you will complete intake forms and answer questions regarding your current mental state and any issues that you would like to address. I will review these forms before your appointment and then we will sit down together and discuss your individual needs and what might be best for you moving forward.
Questions are always encouraged!
Here are some of the most common questions that I receive.
-
As a psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner (PMHNP) I am able to diagnose mental health illnesses, provide therapy, and prescribe medications all in one appointment. The ability to receive all three of these services from one provider saves you time, money, and the hassle of telling your story again and again.
-
An initial intake appointment is $375. If we chose to continue working together, we’ll develop a custom plan that meets your needs and would range from $150-$250.
-
We currently accept United Healthcare, Blue Cross Blue Shield, Aetna, Humana, Motivhealth, University of Utah, Select Health, and EMI Health insurance plans.
Our team is actively working to expand our network and add additional insurance providers soon. If your insurance isn’t listed, please check back or contact our office for the most up-to-date information.
What Others Are Saying about Amoré Mental Health…
“For years, I felt stuck. I was struggling at work, my wife had moved out, and eventually my son did too. I had been in therapy on and off since high school, but nothing ever seemed to truly help long-term. The best I ever felt was years ago when I was in trade school and taking Ritalin—but I stopped it after a while, and life slowly unraveled again.
By the time I came to Amore Mental Health, it had been years of feeling overwhelmed, unfocused, and disconnected from the people I love. Starting medication again, along with therapy, changed everything for me. I can finally focus at work, stay present, and follow through. More importantly, my wife and my son started talking to me again—something I never thought would happen.
For the first time in a long time, I feel hopeful and capable. Coming to Amore Mental Health truly changed my life.”

“My anxiety came out of nowhere. One day I was fine, and the next it felt like my world started shrinking. It got so bad that I couldn’t drive, and even the thought of flying became overwhelming. Eventually, I couldn’t even make it to the grocery store. I didn’t understand where it came from or why it kept getting worse.
After feeling stuck and not knowing what else to do, I found Amore Mental Health. Starting medication and therapy gave me the support I didn’t even realize I needed. Little by little, things started to change. I can drive again, I’m functioning, and I’m beginning to show up in my life in ways I thought I’d lost.
I’m not ‘fixed’ overnight—but I am getting better, and for the first time in a long time, I feel like I have my life back.”
