WHAT TO EXPECT

Congratulations on taking charge of your mental health!
Taking the first step is often the hardest part.

Wondering what to expect?

Before your first appointment, you will complete intake forms that give us insight into your current mental health, history, and the concerns you would like to address. This allows us to thoughtfully prepare for your visit and make the most of our time together.

During your appointment, we will review your information and have a conversation about your unique needs, goals, and experiences. From there, we will work collaboratively to create a personalized plan that feels supportive, realistic, and aligned with where you are right now.

Our goal is to help you feel comfortable, understood, and confident in the path forward from the very beginning.

Questions are always encouraged!
Here are some of the most common questions that I receive.

What Others Are Saying about Amoré Mental Health…

“For years, I felt stuck. I was struggling at work, my wife had moved out, and eventually my son did too. I had been in therapy on and off since high school, but nothing ever seemed to truly help long-term. The best I ever felt was years ago when I was in trade school and taking Ritalin—but I stopped it after a while, and life slowly unraveled again.

By the time I came to Amore Mental Health, it had been years of feeling overwhelmed, unfocused, and disconnected from the people I love. Starting medication again, along with therapy, changed everything for me. I can finally focus at work, stay present, and follow through. More importantly, my wife and my son started talking to me again—something I never thought would happen.

For the first time in a long time, I feel hopeful and capable. Coming to Amore Mental Health truly changed my life.”

“My anxiety came out of nowhere. One day I was fine, and the next it felt like my world started shrinking. It got so bad that I couldn’t drive, and even the thought of flying became overwhelming. Eventually, I couldn’t even make it to the grocery store. I didn’t understand where it came from or why it kept getting worse.

After feeling stuck and not knowing what else to do, I found Amore Mental Health. Starting medication and therapy gave me the support I didn’t even realize I needed. Little by little, things started to change. I can drive again, I’m functioning, and I’m beginning to show up in my life in ways I thought I’d lost.

I’m not ‘fixed’ overnight—but I am getting better, and for the first time in a long time, I feel like I have my life back.”
